Choir History
The Choir was formed in 1957 specifically to compete at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod

Since then, we have performed throughout the UK and have travelled extensively in Europe, the USA & Canada. We have also visited China, Hong Kong & Israel. We've taken part in many competitions & won a significant number of prizes as well as making several cassettes & CDs.

We are a registered Charity and have helped raise many tens of thousands of pounds for many diverse deserving causes. One of our recordings, 'Calm is the Sea' helped to raise well over £10,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

It is one of the Choir's proudest boasts that a number of its members have gone on to take up singing as a career.
Where to find us
Where to find usThe Village of RHOSLLANNERCHRUGOG ("Rhos") is situated some 4 miles south west of Wrexham in North Wales, and 16 miles south of the historic Roman city of Chester. It is a former mining village, the last remaining pit having closed in 1987. Once known as the largest village in Wales, it has a long history of producing talented performers in all areas of the arts, leading it to be known as “the village of the talents”. Over the years, it has been home to two male voice choirs, a ladies' choir, a girls' choir, a mixed choir, a pensioners’ choir and a championship quality Silver Band. Many top class musicians, actors and singers who were born in Rhos have gone on to make significant contributions to Welsh culture not only as performers, but also as writers and composers.
